For salvation,

but be willing to surrender to it;

For health,

but be willing to leave the sickness;

For a home,

but be willing to function in it;

For a Friend,

but be willing to return the friendship;

For prosperity,

but be willing to prosper others.

For Blessings,

but be willing to add to the ease of thers;

For Hope,

but be willing to leave your future up to me,

or stay away

and struggle for the above...

alone.

The Fruit Bearing Flower

When God's love begins to bud

inside a human heart,

Heaven opens on earth.

As it flowers, send frangrance

into the lives of others,

Heaven unfolds on earth.

As it lives, displays its grace,

withstands the elements,

Heaven adorns the earth.

When it dies, its absence felt,

a yearning remains--

Heaven return to earth.

    Ample Riches

The word of God is  treasury

of all I need from day to day

to ease my heart, soul, and mind

and strengthen these feet of clay.

The Word of God is a bastion

preserving me from all enemies

who would garnish my self-esteem

and leave my feet in a sea of mud.

The Word of God is a fair haven

that provides storm refuge

until the weather clears and

the Almighty calms the sea.

When faced with life's many trials

give me not silver and gold

that buy me no grace or peace,

just hand me the Holy Book.
